Day trip through the Costa Blanca from Casa Tims

The Costa Blanca is a beautiful region in Spain, known for its white sandy beaches, atmospheric villages and impressive views. For those staying at Casa Tims and wanting a nice day trip, this itinerary is ideal. We visit seven characteristic places and enjoy the local culture, history and gastronomy. The route is doable in one day, with enough time to explore each place.

1. Departure from Casa Tims, towards Altea (35 min drive, 1 hour stay)

The day starts in Altea, one of the most beautiful towns on the Costa Blanca. The old town with its cobbled streets and whitewashed houses exudes an authentic atmosphere. Visit the church Nuestra Señora del Consuelo with its distinctive blue dome and enjoy the views over the Mediterranean Sea. Stroll through the streets, discover small art galleries and start the day with a coffee on a terrace.

2. From Altea to Calpe (15-minute drive, 1.5-hour stay)

Next stop is Calpe, known for the imposing Peñón de Ifach rock. Take a stroll along the promenade or climb to the viewpoint for a stunning panorama. Those who prefer to soak up the atmosphere in town can explore the colourful old town or visit the fish market by the port.

3. From Calpe to Moraira (20 min drive, 45 min stay)

Moraira is a charming coastal village with an attractive harbour and a beautiful sandy beach. Visit the Castillo de Moraira and stroll along the promenade. Take a moment to enjoy a refreshing drink on a waterside terrace.

4. From Moraira to Denia (35 min drive, 1.5 hours stay)

Denia has a rich history and lively atmosphere. Denia's castle offers stunning views over the city and port. Stroll through the old town and past the markets and enjoy a lunch of fresh seafood at the port.

5. From Denia to Guadalest (50 min drive, 1.5 hours stay)

We head inland to Guadalest, a mountain village perched on a cliff with impressive views over the reservoir and mountains. Visit the castle and unusual museums, or browse around the shops for local produce and souvenirs.

6. From Guadalest to Villajoyosa (45 min drive, 1 hour stay)

Villajoyosa is known for its colourful houses along the coast. Take a walk along the beach and visit the Valor chocolate factory for a tour and tasting. The historic town centre with its narrow streets is also well worth a visit.

7. From Villajoyosa to Jávea (50-minute drive, 2-hour stay)

The last stop is Jávea, where you dine on Arenal beach while the sun sets. At Restaurante La Perla de Jávea or Restaurante Cala Bandida, enjoy a delicious meal overlooking the sea. The setting sun makes for an atmospheric end to the day.

Back to Casa Tims (40 min. drive)

After a beautiful day full of impressions, drive back to Casa Tims. On the way, you can reminisce about everything you have seen and perhaps make new plans for your next voyage of discovery along the Costa Blanca. Take a look around for more information.
